Hedgewars

Description
Platforms: PC Publisher: Hedgewars Team Year of release: 2006 Hedgewars is a free-to-play turn-based artillery game similar to games such as Worms. Where players either in teams, or individually take control of tiny hedgehogs warring over a randomly generated 2D landscape. The weapons animations and voices are all humoristic and the gameplay has a surprising amount of depth, including ballistic physics, wind and hazardous water traps. Players must take turns to calculate shots on opposing teams, with the aim of depleting their health-pool or knocking them off the map into the water. Shots require careful calculations taking into consideration power, angle, wind and weight across a range of weapons with different properties. The game is easily configurable for different scenarios and settings and supports hot-seat gameplay on one computer, or networked play across local and online lobbies.
