Minecraft is a voxel graphics adventure sandbox game with hundreds of experiences and features available through customisable mods. At its core, Minecraft is a survival game set in procedurally generated 3D worlds, with elements of platforming, building, exploration and crafting. Players can band together in private servers to cooperate (or occasionally fight) towards player driven objectives and goals.
Minecraft is an excellent tool often described as digital Lego, due to the vastness of possibility available to players, and is a fantastic tool for students to explore their creativity, collaborative skills and unleash their adventurous spirit.
Minecraft also comes in the form of "Minecraft Education" a purpose built version of the game for use by educators for game-based learning in schools. |
