Helldivers 2

Platforms: PC, Playstation Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment Year of release: 2025 Helldivers 2 is a cooperative third-person shooter which drops players into an intergalactic war against bugs and machines, often vastly outnumbered and requiring players to use strategy, teamwork and planning to progress through the game. Deaths are frequent in Helldivers 2, as are incidents of friendly fire, which ties into the humoristic nature of the game, and serves as a fun engagement tool which keeps the pressure off of players to some degree. The game is rated as mature in most territories due to graphic violence, but can be a fun cooperative learning experience for older students looking to work together against a computer based opponent with adjustable skill level rather than deal with some of the stresses associated with playing against human opponents.
